Project Summary

  • Design, develop, and integrate a scalable Biometric Management System that supported face recognition, iris recognition, and fingerprint identification capabilities

IBG Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, integrate, test, and deploy multimodal biometric system
  • Integrate and support five separate biometric matchers supporting over 5m enrollments
  • Build custom matcher interfaces to support watchlist and filter-based identification capabilities
  • Design and implement user interface and reporting capabilities
  • Integrate quality tools for each modality
  • Support system onsite

IBG has delivered multiple large-scale identification systems built on its scalable, robust Biometric Management System (BMS) to an undisclosed U.S. Federal Government Client.

The latest system build, supporting 5m fingerprint, face recognition, and iris recognition enrollments through a 15-server array, is currently deployed in support of data exploitation and analysis missions.

The system provides watchlist and filter-based searching capabilities, rank-based and threshold-based searching, multimodal results presentation to system operators, and bulk enrollment capabilities.
IBG defined all biometric concepts of operations including implementation of watchlists, filtering, and customized enroll and search capabilities.

BMS provides failover, queuing, matcher interface, and ingestion interface capabilities, processing data acquired in field environments.

IBG integrated best-of-breed fingerprint, face, and iris quality assessment tools to improve the reliability of data ingestion and matching processes.
