Application Engineer 

Job Description:

 

Participates on project teams designing, developing and implementing biometric and other enterprise systems for DoD client. Assists in design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs using formal specifications, data flow diagrams, other accepted design techniques and Computer-Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools. Estimates system development costs and schedules. Defines specifications for software applications and modifies and maintains existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Position is located in Arlington, VA.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

·          Bachelors Degree in a related field and 5 years relevant experience - OR - a Masters degree in a related field and 3 years of relevant experience

·          Secret Clearance

·          Working knowledge of relational database environments, structured analysis, data modeling, information engineering, mathematical model building, sampling, and applicable biometric modalities.

Job Description:

 

Defines system requirements for enterprise-wide or large-scale information systems on behalf of DoD client. Designs architecture including software, hardware, and communications for existing and future requirements and interfaces. Ensures system interoperability with other systems and standards compliance. Ensures that the common operating environment is compliant. Evaluates work flow, organization and planning problems and develops appropriate solutions. Position is located in Arlington, VA.
