Tricubes Reveals Next Generation Handheld Computer at
Biometrics World

Lumpur - Mesdaq-listed Tricubes Berhad (Tricubes),
Malaysia's leading Identity Authentication
Solution Provider gave a preview of its latest
wireless handheld computer - the T1030 - at the
Biometrics World Asia exhibition in Singapore
last month.
Touted as one of the highest performance
handheld computer in its class, the T1030
targets enterprise users that require access
information to and from their legacy systems via
wireless connectivity. The device is equipped
with a solid-state biometrics scanner, smartcard
reader, built-in GSM/GPRS, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Rated IP64, T1030 is especially suitable for the
harsh and challenging environment and
requirements of utilities segment.

the largest forum in Asia that addresses

biometrics technologies. The forum attracts

Biometrics World Asia 2005 taps into a worldwide
growth market for biometrics technologies, from

The increased interest in biometric technology
for identity management and/or access control is
clearly demonstrated with the global biometrics
market expected to go from US$719 million in
2003 to more than US$4,600 million in year 2008

Tricubes also aims to promote their Security
Access Authentication (SAA) solutions to
facilities such as air and seaports and other
Government facilities in the Middle East and
South East Asia. Tricubes is confident that the
largely untapped biometrics authentication and

According to a reliable independent research
body, the growth of this market that Tricubes is
leading shows an encouraging Compound Annual
Growth Rate (CAGR) of 32.8% from 2003 to 2009 in
terms of the units of biometrics smart card
reader sold.
Moving forward, Tricubes aims to improve within
its core competencies. According to Khairun,
identity fraud has become an alarming crime and
a major concern for the public and private
