PC EXPO TO FEATURE BIOMETROPOLIS - A NEW BIOMETRICS PAVILION FOR E-COMMERCE, NETWORK ACCESS, AND SINGLE SIGN-ON APPLICATIONS VENDORS

NEW YORK, March 20, 2000 - PC EXPO (www.pcexpo.com) the IT Event For Business, announced today that it will feature for the first time a new Biometrics Pavilion entitled Biometropolis. The pavilion will showcase the innovative solutions that are impacting e-commerce, Internet and network security companies. More than 85,000 qualified corporate technology buyers will attend the 18th annual event, June 27-29 (pre-conference workshops will be held June 26), at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.

Biometropolis, presented by International Biometric Group, LLC (IBG), will address the identification and authentication needs of mid- to large-size organizations. Biometric companies will showcase dozens of their latest technologies and applications for IT security including finger scanning, face geometry, hand/finger geometry, iris scanning, signature verification, voice and keystroke dynamics.

"Over the past year we have seen Biometric technologies such as finger, face, iris, signature, and voice scans grow smaller, less expensive, and more accurate. Once relegated to the movies and very high-end security applications, we now see sub-$100 solutions for the desktop," said Samir Nanavati, partner, International Biometric Group, LLC. "Biometropolis at PC EXPO will allow IT professionals to see the latest products from the leading biometric vendors and understand how biometrics can affect their bottom line."

PC EXPO will feature more than 500 of the world's leading IT companies. These vendors will showcase the newest and most innovative IT products and solutions for the business-to-business technology buyer. The business-to-business event will feature exciting new events and special presentations this year. PC EXPO will personalize and customize the trade show experience for all attendees. The goal in 2000 is to personally match attendees to exhibitors, through demographics and other identification criteria. PC EXPO will lead the transformation from concrete to content, from information to education, from contacts to customer relationships and from commonality to customization.
