International Biometric Group
Hosts Teleconference on Biometrics and Financial
Services
New
York, NY—October 6, 2003—International Biometric
Group (IBG) announces the nineteenth installment of its
Biometric Business and Technology Teleconference series.
Lem Sanders, a Consultant at IBG, will be leading a
discussion about "Biometrics and Financial
Services."
The
market for biometric technologies in the financial
services sector is poised for significant growth over
the next five years. International Biometric Group's
"Biometric Market Report 2003-2007" projects that
annual biometric revenues in the financial services
sector will grow from $99.4 million in 2003 to $672.8
million in 2007.
This
teleconference will discuss the use of biometrics for a
variety of financial service applications. It will
examine the return-on-investment of using biometrics in
these applications, as well as look at the challenges
that have so far kept most financial institutions from
embracing biometrics on a large-scale.
The
call will take place on Thursday, October 9 at 1:00 pm
ET (10:00 am PT). There is no charge to join the call,
which will last about an hour, and participants will
have the opportunity to ask questions.
You
can listen to the teleconference over the web:
