Biometric Group to Host Teleconference on Biometrics and US-VISIT
New
York, NY—February 9, 2004—International
Biometric Group (IBG) announces the twenty-third
installment of its Biometric Business and Technology
Teleconference series. Dennis Carlton, Director of
Washington Operations for the International Biometric
Group (IBG), will be leading a discussion about the
US-VISIT IT integration, the security and reliability of
biometrics, and the impact of introducing biometric
technology into the border management system.
Last
month, Mr. Carlton gave testimony
before the House Select Committee on Homeland Security,
Subcommittee on Infrastructure and Border Security on
US-VISIT and the role of biometrics in addressing border
management challenges.
The
call will take place on Thursday, February 12 at 1:00 pm
ET (10:00 am PT). There is no charge to join the call,
which will last about an hour, and participants will
have the opportunity to ask questions.
