International Biometric Group To Host Teleconference on Biometric Technology Standards

New York, NY—May 11, 2004—International Biometric Group (IBG) announces the twenty-sixth installment of its monthly Biometric Business and Technology Teleconference series. Michael Thieme, IBG's Director of Special Projects, will be leading a discussion on the latest developments in Biometric Technology Standards.

With the continued emergence of a range of parallel standards activities, full-time effort is required to stay up-to-date on biometric standards. However, remaining apprised of these efforts is more important than ever, as the biometric industry is entering a critical phase of standards development and approval, both within the US and internationally.

Mr. Thieme is a member of X9F Data and Information Security and INCITS Technical Committee M1, Biometrics. He also serves as a U.S. subject matter expert to the primary international biometric standards body, ISO/IET JTC1 SC37 Biometrics.

The call will take place on Thursday, May 13 at 1:00 pm ET (10:00 am PT). There is no charge to join the call, which will last up to an hour, and participants will have the opportunity to ask questions.

You will be able listen to the teleconference over the web:

You can also join the call by dialing: 800-473-6123 (from the U.S. and Canada) or 973-582-2706 (from outside the U.S. and Canada). If you wish to participate in the question and answer session during the teleconference, you will need to dial into the call.

The IBG Biometric Business and Technology Teleconference series is designed to address all audiences interested in biometrics, including investors, developers and the media. Toward that end, the IBG Biometric Business and Technology Teleconference series provides timely information and insight on the current state of biometrics and the biometric industry.
