Iris Recognition Technology Market

Though it is one of the later emerging technologies in the biometric market, iris recognition is set to grow substantially through 2008. One reason this is the case is that iris recognition is highly resistant to false matching. Counter-balancing iris recognition's resistance to false matches is the fairly significant user training required to enroll subjects in the system and the discomfort iris recognition can cause some users. As such, iris recognition will primarily be used by organizations that require high levels of security.
